KENNETH DALE "COACH" CRAYCRAFT, 75, of Kenova, W.Va., died Tuesday, August 20, 2002, at his home. Praise of Songs Worship Service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2002, at the First Baptist Church of Kenova, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Ron McClung officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 23, 2002, at Dock?s Creek Cemetery in Kenova. He was born March 28, 1927, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, a son of the late Earl and Ethel Dyer Craycraft. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Dale was a 1944 graduate of Ceredo-Kenova High School and a graduate of Marshall University where he earned his Bachelor and Masters degrees in Education and Counseling. He was a teacher and coach at Wurtland High School, Catlettsburg High School and Ceredo-Kenova High School. He retired from the Northern Vo-Tech School in 1988 where he had been a counselor. Dale was a member of the W.Va. Coaches Association and the Wayne County Retired Teachers Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Earl Craycraft. He is survived by two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Keith and Peggy Craycraft of Kenova, W.Va., Dr. Larry and Rachel Craycraft of Ashland, Ky., and Mary Ellen Craycraft of Kenova, W.Va.; four special nephews, Roger, Bruce, Bill Dale and Keith Craycraft; and two special nieces, Elizabeth Alexander and Cecelia Rechner. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes C/O Tim Stephens at 733 Shaw Street, Barboursville, WV 25504 or Hospice of Huntington at P.O. Box 464 Huntington, WV 25709. Friends may call from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2002, at the First Baptist Church of Kenova. Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova is in charge of the arrangements.
