Proverbs 3: 5-6 REBECCA ANNETTE FELTY SALYERS, 47, of Proctorville, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 17, 2013. Beckie was preceded in death by her big brother, Charles Curtis Felty, her paternal grandparents, Charles and Miranda Felty and maternal grandparents, Curtis and Juanita Bocook. Survived by her husband, the love of her life and best friend, David A. Salyers; the pride and joy of her life, her sons, Eric David Salyers and Evan Drake Salyers and his girlfriend, Carly Riley; her stepdaughter, Elizabeth Dawn Salyers; her parents whom she adored, Chuck and Ruth Ann Felty; her devoted sister, who took care of her when she needed her most, Sarah Ann Byard and her husband, Brian. Beckie's in-laws, Larry and Sandra Salyers; her brothers-in-law Greg Salyers and Laurie and Brian Salyers and Teresa; her sister-in-law, Becky Lego; nieces, Anna Ruth Felty, Jordan and Cara Salyers and Ally and Faith Salyers; nephew, Zachary Lego and Kelley; her lifelong friend, Lynn Salmons and so many other special friends whose love and devotion will never be forgotten. Beckie knew all her life that she wanted to be a nurse and graduated from Ceredo-Kenova High School and Rio Grande University to achieve her goal. She loved Fairland High School and Marshall University athletics. She loved to travel with her family and they shared many wonderful vacations together. Beckie was a true friend to a countless number of people, to know her was to love her. She made a difference in this world and touched so many lives with her smile, kindness, gentle spirit and nursing expertise. Our lives are better for having known her. May the hole which has been left in our hearts be filled with kindness and caring for one another. Beckie would want that for us. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the First Baptist Church of Proctorville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at the church with Pastor Jeff Black officiating. Burial will follow in the Rome Proctorville Cemetery. Beckie had a heart for the Huntington City Mission where she and her family have volunteered during the holiday season.
