SANDRA DELORES DUNKLE, 70, of Ashton, W.Va., passed away after a short illness Monday, January 30, 2012, in Saint Mary's Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late John M. and Margaret Brumfield Sanns. She is survived by her husband Donald Dunkle of Ashton, W.Va.; a daughter Cindy Herrera of Ona, W.Va.; two grandchildren Micah Hosey-Duffer and her husband David L. Duffer Jr., and John Scott Herrera Jr. She was a retired RN from the Mildred Mitchell Bateman Hospital, and graduated with a BSN from the Marshall School of Nursing. She was also a member of the Elmwood Baptist Church. Additional survivors include special friends Geetha Subramaniam of Washington, D.C., Doris Jean Meade, Phyllis Burton, Barbara Blankenship, Barbara and Donnie Bell, Gary and Mary Meadows, David and Darlene Adams, Ada Oxley, Jewell Saunders, Bernice and Edsel Rollyson, Charlie and Libby Perry, Glen and Carol Merritt, Mickey and Angie Garrett, and all of her church family as well as a host of other family members. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday, February 3, 2012, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Rick Glass officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbottom Memorial Park.
