Rev. EDDIE OSTICE DAVIDSON, 66, of Wayne, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2010, at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, W.Va., due to an accident on his farm. He was born July 1, 1944, in East Lynn, W.Va. Funeral service will be conducted August 18, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne, by Elder Roger Jordan of Blaine, Ky., and Elder AJ Perry of East Lynn, both longtime friends and fellow brothers in Christ. He was the son of the late Roscoe and Alberta Adkins- Davidson. He was a 1963 Wayne High School graduate. He was a retired AFL-CIO Local 543 and Operating Engineer Local 132. He was a 36-year member of Bethlehem United Baptist Association. He was a member of Booten Millers Fork United Baptist Church. He served as pastor of many churches through his Christian life. He was preceded in death by sons Todd Edward Davidson and Johnny Mac Davidson. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Lorene Carol Smith-Davidson; two daughters, Valerie and husband Corky Cline, Kelly and husband Daren Adkins and son Cody Davidson and wife Rene, all of Wayne; grandchildren Adam, Amber, and Andrew Cline, Kassie Davidson, Emily Conner, Harley Davidson and Gabe Davidson; two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hunter Bryant; five girls, Corie, Liz, Phe-Phe, Amber, Deanna and Laynie, who shared his life; five sisters, Emma Davidson, Maxine and Lando Stephens, both of Wayne, Christine and Flem Rowe of Barboursville, W.Va., Ada Wooten of Huntington and Minta and Dude Wooten of East Lynn; and a host of family and friends. A family he claimed as his own, the Farmers - David, Sharon, Telisha, Tiffany and Tawania. Pallbearers will be grandsons Adam, Andrew and Gabe, nephews Larry Rowe, Mark Rowe, Jason Smith, Matthew Stephens and Stacey Wooten and close friends who loved him very much, Jared Cline and Grant Ross. Dad had many special friends with whom he shared a special bond and we are thankful for you. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne. Visitation at Morris Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m on Tuesday, August 17. Burial will be at the Davidson Family Cemetery at Nestlow, W.Va.
