FREDRICK BENNETT FERGUSON, 70, of Clearwater, Fla., passed away at Mortin Plant Hospital in Clearwater on Monday, Nov. 2, 2009. He was born in Mallory, W.Va., on March 26, 1939, to the late Flo and Fred Ferguson. Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and retired from the Polk County School System. Surviving family members are a son, David R. Ferguson and his wife Susan; granddaughter, Shannon of Orlando, Fla.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Jim C. Hamer, and Iva Mae and Jim Donald; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eddie and Jan Frazier, and James and Ann Ferguson; two special cousins, Fred T. Adkins and Ottis Adkins; and he is greatly missed by his very dear friend, Sherrie Morrison. Rollins Funeral Home in Kenova is assisting the family and there will be no visitation.
