MILDRED ENGLEMAN Del PAPA, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2009, at her home in Kinsale, Va. Mildred was proud to have been born in Andrew Jackson's home in Lexington, Va., on February 4, 1928, to her parents, William and Lucille Clark Engleman. She was preceded in death by her son, John E.; a sister, Jane E. Curley; and two brothers, William and Tinsley Engleman. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Laurence J. Del Papa; six children, Therese Hall and husband David, Laurence Del Papa II, Paul Del Papa and wife Kathy, David Del Papa, Charles Del Papa and wife Rebecca, and Cynthia Shaughnessy; and grandchildren Matthew, Bennett, Kimberly, Brittney, Bryan, Nathan and wife Deborah, Elise, Nicholas, Daniel, Meredith and husband Justin, Tony, Amelia, Lillian, Margaret, Andrew and Kristen; and seven great-grandchildren. Mildred graduated from Johnston-Willis School of Nursing, working in the field of obstetrics. In her retirement years, she was an avid reader and Bridge player and Mildred's greatest love was spending time with her family and many friends. The family will receive friends Friday, November 6, 2009, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bliley's-Central, 3801 Augusta Ave. Richmond, Va., where a service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment Mount Calvary Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 7, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 7070 Nomini Hall Rd, Hague, Va. 22469. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church, P.O. Box 65, Hague, VA 22469.
