LYNDOL AUSTIN CURRY, 82, of Huntington, W.Va., formerly of Kenova, W.Va., died Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. She was born June 17, 1927, in Henderson, W.Va., a daughter of the late Horton R. and Charlotte Walker Austin. Lyndol was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the Ceredo PTA. She attended the Norway Avenue Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles A. "Red" Curry. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rebecca Ann Davis of Willow Wood, Ohio, Sarah and Randy Workman of Culloden, W.Va., and Melinda and Harry Hopkins of Huntington, with whom she made her home; two grandsons, David H. Davis and Tonya Carter and Bryan R. Workman and Melissa; a special granddaughter, Leigh Ann Daniels and James; four great-grandchildren, Jamie, Hannah, Lauren and Derek; one sister, June Jordan of Huntington; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Stanley and Jane McDowell, both of Charleston, W.Va.; a special caregiver, Brenda Brooks; and her special dog, FiFi. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at Rollins Funeral Home, Kenova. Funeral services will begin at 2:30 with Rev. Scott Byard officiating.
