CHESTER A. VANCE, 82, of South Point, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Heartland of Riverview. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 6, 2009, at Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio, with Minister Earl Slack officiating. Chester was born July 2, 1927, in Huntington, W.Va., a son of the late William and Bertie Taylor Vance. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lee Vance. Chester is survived by one daughter, two sisters and one brother. There will be no visitation. Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home, Chesapeake, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements.
