BENNIE LOU SIMPKINS, 74, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2009, while in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born March 6, 1935, in Cabell County, West Virginia. Bennie was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Simpkins and Bernice Simpson Lucas and one sister, Betty Deal. He is survived by two daughters, Ruth Cyrus and her four children, Johnny, Dreama, Brenda and Carolyn; Sharon Evans and her three children Tracie, Toni and Jarrod; two sons, Hobert Adkins and his three children David, Jason and Zack; Bobby Simpkins and his two children, Alexis and Haley; and numerous great-grandchildren. He was a laborer through Local Union #543, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009, Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Tom Jones.
