ANICE RAMEY CURRY, 93, of Kiahsville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 3, 2008, at home, surrounded by her children. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, W.Va., with Emory Osburn and Elder Charles O. Adkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Pres Friley Cemetery, Kiahsville. She was born December 23, 1914, on Big Laurel where she lived as a homemaker her entire life. Her parents, Minuard and Margaret Pack Ramey; her husband, Carson Curry; an infant daughter, Lettie Bell; a son, Major Curry; grandsons Jamie and Gregg; a great-granddaughter Amber; four brothers, Josh, Jim, Kelly and Roy Ramey; and six sisters, Polly, Lucinda and Pearlie Ramey, Emmasett Fry, Nora Ellen Moon and Liz Fry, all preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, Josh Curry and wife Shirley of Big Laurel, W.Va., Carson Curry Jr. and wife Joyce of Ohio, and Jay Curry and wife Jean of Kiahsville; five daughters, Madeline Crawford of Ohio, Maxine Cook and husband Lamar, and Marie Curry, all of Big Laurel, Opal Bivens and husband Leonard of Maryland, Brenda Byrley and husband Howard of West Hamlin, W.Va.; two daughters-in-law, Judy Pack Curry of Michigan and Judy Rowe Curry of Ohio; a former son-in-law, Charles Chelf of Maryland; two sisters, Belle Jones of Kenova, W.Va., and Susie Napier of Ohio; 22 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 6 great- great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2008, at Morris Funeral Home. The family wishes to express special thanks to her caregivers Renee' Adkins, Betty Fenton and Sue Napier.
