LESLIE GAIL McELROY, of Huntington went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 21, 2005, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. The Ashland, Ky., native was born November 18, 1957, the daughter of Crawford Kitchen and Barbara Anderson, who survive. She was the loving wife of Clint McElroy, who survives. She was a graduate of Ironton High School. She was a long-time member of Highlawn Baptist Church, where she also worked as a secretary and also founded the Center Stage Drama Ministry. She also served as a producer, director and actor in several community theatre productions and was a big fan of Clay Aiken. Survivors in addition to her husband and parents include her three sons, Justin, Travis and Griffin McElroy; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Josh Kitchen and Chris and Patti Kitchen; one sister, Dana Kitchen; her mother-in-law, Donna McElroy; her stepmother, Diane Kitchen; three nieces, Taylor, Emily and India; and several cousins. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to McElroy Medical Fund, Huntington Ionized Federal Credit Union, 481 W. 8th St., Huntington, WV 25701. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, May, 25, 2005, at Highlawn Baptist Church with the Rev. Terrell Bradley officiating; burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Ironton.
